Sani Pump Problems

Sani pumps are a great solution for areas that don't have direct access to the sewer line, like this unit in a granny flat in Hadfield. The granny flat is a converted garage that already had a concrete slab, so the sani pump is used pump the waste to the sewer line.

But, as with all things that have moving parts and electrical circuits - things can go wrong, as was the case with this unit. The owner of the property was greeted with a smoke filled room one morning after the pump burnt out.

We removed the unit and replace the damaged pump. All back up and running, good as new!

Note: It's probably a good idea if you already have a pump like this installed to ensure it has shutdown before leaving. It never hurts to be be sure.
